  • Injury Treatments utilize Advanced Therapies to effect changes to help people manage pain and regain their functional goals. Injury Treatments require a doctor or chiropractor's referral. Most referrals for injury treatment recommend therapy 1-2 times a week for up to 6 weeks, and then a re-evaluation by the doctor or chiropractor.

Advanced therapy can be helpful to decrease pain and assist clients to regain the function they had in their lives before the injury happened. Sudden injury, as those sustained in car accidents or on-the-job, often result in muscular dysfunction, trigger point activation, and myofascial restrictions that can wreak havoc throughout the body. It is amazing how even a seemingly small accident can disrupt everyday life, resulting in issues such as headaches, neck or back pain, TMJ symptoms, or muscular weakness. Usually the client is also undergoing simultaneous care with at least one other health professional such as a physical therapist or chiropractor. The combination often results in better outcomes, more quickly.

If you have sustained an injury talk to your physician or chiropractor about a referral.

At this time, MASSAGE CdA is not contracted with any health insurances and does not bill for medical massage.

  • From Wendy S.:

I had been in two car accidents that left me taking 12-15 Advil daily due to the level of pain I was in. Driving, sitting, and laying down were problematic and sometimes excruciating. I had tried many types of physical therapy, strain/counterstrain therapy, ice, heat, you name it. Over a three month period I saw Monica 1-2 times a week. In that time period I've reduced Advil by half, tolerate daily tasks much better, and no longer take an hour to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Most important, I don't cringe when my kiddos hug me! She was the first therapist I've worked with that didn't believe in creating more pain to cure my current pain. Monica has a unique ability to listen to what your body needs to help you heal for which, I am eternally grateful. I would recommend her to anyone!
