  • About... Your Therapist and Her "Assistant"
  • Monica Perrier, LMP, CMTPT

Monica Perrier has been a professional massage therapist since 1994. Her endless passion, quality touch, proficient skills, and advanced, innovative education is palpable in her touch and has been of tremendous value for her clients in fostering stress-free, pain-free, energized bodies.

Monica is a naturally gifted massage therapist whose career has been developing since childhood. Her innate, intuitive approach is balanced with extensive, technical massage and manual therapy training. This effective combination has helped many clients over the years recover from acute and chronic pain, overcome physical limitations, transform emotional stress, and find daily balance.

She is skilled, competent, experienced, and professional. Her touch has a distinctly different feel; it is a touch which demonstrates fluency in the "conversation" between her hands and your tissues.

Monica holds massage practitioner licenses Idaho, Washington, and Montana. She is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and is also a Nationally Certified MyoFascial Trigger Point Therapist. She is endorsed through her Idaho and Washington State licesnses to offer Intra-Oral Therapy (TMJ Therapy). In addition to two decades devoted to her passion of massage therapy through private practice, she taught for eight years at her alma mater, Heartwood Institute, in California. In addition, she has a BA degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, a Health Counseling Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, a certification from the Teacher's College (Outreach and Innovation) at Columbia University in New York City, and an Advanced Massage Practitioner Certification and Holistic Health Practitioner Certification from Heartwood Institute.

She has lived and had massage therapy practices in California and Vermont, and has been growing her Coeur d'Alene private practice since relocating here in 2010. Monica also sees clients in Conrad, MT, when she visits there to see family.

  • Sophie Dogina, Assistant

    Meet Sophie Dogina, Monica's "Assistant."

Sophie often accompanies Monica to the office, where she "assists" by offering her gentle, calming energy. Clients adore her and enjoy her well-mannered nature.

Sophie is a ten-year-old Golden Retriever who LOVES people." After she affectionately greets the client, she senses the need for quiet and non-interruption during the session, and easily relaxes into a tranquil space where her soft snores help the client relax and let go. Clients often remark on her calming presence. At the end of the treatment, she might again say hello and "check in."

Sophie Dogina loves long walks, wading in streams and shallow water, chasing birds on ocean beaches, carrying sticks, meeting people, playing with her doggie friends, eating, and sleeping. Her many nicknames include: Snuggle Muffin (or Schnuffle Muggin when the "f's" and "g's" get confused!), Snowphie (in wintertime), Luv-Luv, Munchkin, Baby Cakes, and Sweetie-Pea.

If you are allergic to dogs, or if you prefer Sophie not be at the office during your treatment, please let Monica know when booking your appointment. No one will take it personally!
